The Pigeon Falls (WI) Fire Department operates this Custom
Fire pumper with a Freightliner M2 chassis and a full-response
crew cab with a command desk above the EMS cabinet. It has a
350-hp Cummins ISL 9 diesel engine, a Waterous CMPA 1,250-
gpm pump, a Foam Pro 2001 system, poly 1,000-gallon water and
20-gallon foam tanks, and a hydraulic drop-down ladder rack.
The Saskatoon (SK) Fire Department in Saskatchewan, Canada,
responds with this Fort Garry Fire Trucks pumper on a Spartan
Metro Star chassis. It has a 400-hp Cummins ISL 9 diesel engine, a
Waterous CSU 1,250-gpm pump, a TME electronic pump panel,
a Foam Pro 2002 system, a Wellington Plastics 720-gallon water
tank, an Akron Mercury monitor, a Command Light Intec VSS
camera/monitor system, and drop-down doors.
Fort Garry Fire Trucks
Pictured is one of four Spartan ER Metro Star pumpers delivered
to the Philadelphia (PA) Fire Department. Specs include a 450-hp
Cummins ISL 9 diesel engine, an Advanced Protection System,
a Waterous CMU two-stage 1,500-gpm pump, an Akron Apollo
HiRiser deck gun, a rear booster reel, and a backboard compartment over the pump panel.
The Granger (IA) Fire Department has this brush truck built by
Midwest Fire Tanker on a Dodge 4500 chassis. It has a 20-hp CET
PFP portable pump, a Trident Foam Mate1.0 system, two one-inch
hose reels, an APR 300-gallon water tank, an Elkhart Sidewinder
bumper monitor, and a Warn Zeon 9,500-pound winch.
Midwest Fire Tanker
In service with the Mendenhall (MS) Fire Department is this brush
unit built by 1st Attack Engineering. It has a Ford F-350 chassis
with a 6.2L V8 gasoline engine, front brush guard, four ground
sweep nozzles, a Darley 2BE 390-gpm pump with a Briggs & Stratton engine, an APR 300-gallon water tank, a Scotty foam system
with five-gallon cell, two Reelcraft one-inch booster reels, and
9,000-pound Multi-Mount winch.
1st Attack Engineering
The Candor (NY) Fire District operates this pumper/tanker built by
Summit Fire Apparatus on a Volvo chassis. It has a 500-hp Volvo D
13 diesel engine, front bumper hose storage, a Hale Side Kick PTO
1,250-gpm pump, a UPF 4,000-gallon water tank, a rear 10-inch
Newton dump valve with swivel, a Fireman’s Friend rear fill, two Zia-matic Quic Lift portable tank compartments, and an FRC brow light.
