The Minneapolis (MN) Fire Department has in service this heavy
rescue built by Custom Fire on a Spartan Gladiator chassis. It has a
500-hp Cummins ISX diesel engine; a stainless-steel body of concealed, bolted construction; an extended front bumper with rescue
tool storage; slide-in ladder storage; front and rear winch receivers; a
Harrison 15-k W generator; and a Will Burt Night scan.
These two Midwest Fire pumper/tankers serve the Fort Lupton
(CO) Fire Protection District. Built on Kenworth T-300 chassis,
they have a 380-hp Paccar PX- 9 diesel engine, a Darley HM-500
PTO pump, an APR 3,000-gallon water tank, a 2½-inch direct
tank fill and five-inch Storz direct tank fill, one Newton rear
10-inch dump with 36-inch telescoping chute, ROM doors, and
six Whelen scene lights.
Midwest Fire Tanker
The Yukon Government Fire Marshal’s Office in Whitehorse, Yukon,
Canada, operates this MXV three-person Crown pumper built by
Fort Garry Fire Trucks. Mounted on a Freightliner M2 chassis, it has
a 350-hp Cummins ISC diesel engine, an Allison 3000 EVS transmission, a Darley LDM 1,250-gpm pump with top-mount panel, a
1,000-Imperial gallon water tank, and a Command Light.
Fort Garry Fire Trucks
The Pennsville (NJ) Fire Department has in service this KME heavy
rescue featuring a Predator XLFD chassis with a 244-inch wheelbase,
a 450-hp Cummins ISL 9 diesel engine, and a 22-inch raised roof
cab with seven seats. Specs include a Hale DSD 1,500-gpm pump,
three rear preconnected discharges, 500-gallon water and 25-gallon
foam tanks, ROM doors, a Harrison 15-k W PTO generator, a Will
Burt light tower, and FRC brow and scene lighting.
KME Fire Apparatus
The Elk City (OK) Fire Department operates this Ferrara Cinder
pumper with an aluminum body. It has a 450-hp Cummins ISL 9
diesel engine, a Waterous CSU 1,250-2,000-gpm pump, an Akron
3126 foam eductor, 1,000-gallon water and 30-gallon foam tanks,
a hose reel in the extended front bumper, transverse storage trays,
ROM satin finish doors, and Whelen scene lighting.
Ferrara Fire Apparatus
The Ellettsville (IN) Fire Department has in service this Pierce dry-side tanker built on a Freightliner M2 106 chassis. It has a 350-hp
Cummins ISL diesel engine, a Waterous CGVPA 750-gpm PTO
pump, a UPF 2,200-gallon water tank with a rear 10-inch Newton
dump valve, and a rack for a 2,500-gallon portable tank.
